About Us
Sticky Thumb opened its doors in January 2020 as a family-owned and operated business. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service, fostering community connections, and sharing our passion for cannabis.
Origin of Our Name – Sticky Thumb Weed Delivery
The name Sticky Thumb was inspired during a casual session with friends, where we were sampling various strains grown by one of them. Our fingers got sticky from the flavorful weed, sparking a playful brainstorming session for our future cannabis company name. Initially considering “Sticky Fingers,” we pivoted when someone mentioned “green thumb.” Combining these ideas, Sticky Thumb was born. The very next day, a family member and co-founder, fresh out of art school, designed our logo.
Community Involvement
The founders of Sticky Thumb are deeply committed to community engagement. Over the years, we have volunteered in numerous events including food drives, toy drives, tree planting, and breakfast clubs. These activities are not only fulfilling on a personal level but also aim to challenge and overcome any negative perceptions some may hold about cannabis businesses and their owners through dedication and hard work.
Our Journey
Our founder, who graduated from Oaksterdam cannabis trade school, initially worked at a cannabis tech startup specializing in POS systems for the medical market before recreational legalization. Spending significant time at various dispensaries and delivery services, he trained staff on POS operations and relished interactions with customers and the evolving product range.
During this transformative period in the industry, from basic zip-lock bags to branded jars, and from underground gatherings to mainstream festivals and award ceremonies, our founder experienced the dynamic growth firsthand. However, plans to expand into the recreational market were halted due to health issues affecting the tech company’s founder. In response, Farhad, our founder, pivoted and launched Sticky Thumb Delivery.
Obtaining Licensing in California
Navigating a new and evolving licensing process, we converted our home kitchen into a strategic center, meticulously dissecting complex applications through self-teaching and dedicated teamwork. Our efforts paid off with the successful acquisition of two licenses, including one through a highly competitive selection process.
On January 10th, 2020, we proudly opened our doors, unaware of the impending pandemic that would soon impact the nation. Despite numerous challenges, we adapted and persevered, continuously evolving with the times. Every day, we are thankful for the opportunity to serve our customers, whom we proudly consider part of our Sticky Thumb family.

Jacob Warren2025-09-22Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Sticky Thumb is the best in the Bay! All the staff are incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and quick with deliveries. They are great at accommodating and they have great prices and product! I don't even look at other clubs in the Bay. I've been rocking with Sticky and Doc for 10 years. They never fail! The best! Jason Laufenberg2025-09-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jennifer Hogan2025-09-13Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Update: Still my go-to. Buying weed in Cali seriously sucks! Overpriced, over taxed, super chemy, not a lot of decent quality club products here for delivery at all, and a lot of what I see in stores is just garbage. My advice is don't fall for expensive designer toxic indoor that doesn't do much, don't trust that all outdoor isn't testing too high for pesticides, only use live resin vapes from reputable brands, and I recommend learning about strains and seeing what works for you. Bad products can cause a variety of health issues from lung infections to flu like digestive issues and headaches. Small farms need a serious come back! I use this delivery when I'm dry back home in the city! Nice people, literally never a problem. Yummy top shelf selection (sometimes limited but worth it) , vapes, concentrate, etc. and their cheap stuff is probably better than most places too (definitely sold at a lower price point), although you need to make sure you're not buying a brand that uses heavy pesticides. Fig Farms, Cbx, Eden, khana, heirbloom, lost farms, liva all seem to be clean according to google, their sites, and absence on the black listed brands you don't want to consume. Deals and rewards, also nice. Active customer service. DJ FT2025-09-05Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
